Galvanized steel plates are welded steel plates with a hot-dipped or electro-galvanized surface, generally widely used in construction, household appliances, vehicles and ships, container manufacturing, electromechanical industry, etc.
Galvanised steel plates are divided into normal electrolytic plates and fingerprint resistant electrolytic plates. Fingerprint resistant plate is a fingerprint resistant treatment added to ordinary electrolytic plate, which can resist sweat and is generally used for parts without any treatment, the grade is SECC-N. Ordinary electrolytic plate is also divided into phosphate plate and passivated plate, phosphate is more commonly used, the grade is SECC-P, commonly known as p material. Passivated plates are oiled or unoiled.
Hot-dip galvanised steel (SGCC) has an advantage over electro-galvanised steel (SECC), SECC bending and cross-section is very easy to rust, SGCC rust resistance under the same conditions is much better. High quality chassis are usually made of SECC or SGCC galvanised steel, which has a bright colour and a metallic lustre.
Electro-galvanised steel plate (SECC): uniformly grey, fingerprint resistant, with very superior corrosion resistance, and maintains the processability of cold rolled plate. Uses: Home appliances, computer cases and some doors and panels.
Hot-dip galvanised steel plate (SGCC): dip galvanised, bright white, small zinc bloom (harder to see), large zinc bloom visible as hexagonal bloom. Main characteristics: corrosion resistance, paintability, formability and spot welding.
Extremely versatile, mainly used for small appliances where a good appearance is required, but more expensive than SECC. Divided by zinc: The size of the zinc bloom and the thickness of the zinc layer can indicate the quality of the galvanisation, the smaller and thicker the better. Manufacturers can also add a fingerprint-resistant finish. There is also a distinction that can be made by its coating, e.g. Z12 indicates a total amount of 120g/mm of coating on both sides.
Galvanised steel plate (SGLD): is a multi-phase alloy material containing aluminium and zinc enrichment. Because of its aluminium and zinc properties, it has superior properties to hot-dip galvanised steel plates (SGCC). Main characteristics: corrosion resistance, which is much higher than SGCC; heat resistance; heat transfer and heat reflection; formability; weldability. Uses: Used in areas where good reflectivity is required, such as reflective plates for the interior of ovens and electric pans. Hot-dip galvanised steel plate (SGCC) is for general use, galvanised steel plate (SGLD) is for deep stamping and SGCE is for super deep stamping.
