Ship's steel plate refers to the hot-rolled steel plates produced according to the requirements of the classification society construction specifications for the manufacture of ship hull structures.

Types

Commonly used hull structural steel plates are GB712 general strength steel (A, B, D, E grade) steel plate, high strength steel (AH32, DH32, EH32, AH36, DH36, EH36 grade) steel plate; GB5312 high quality carbon steel (CIO, C20) steel plate for shipbuilding; GB9945 A, B grade steel ball flat steel for shipbuilding, etc.

Species specifications

The structural steel plates for ship hulls are divided into strengths according to their minimum yield points.
The general strength structural steel of China Classification Society Code is divided into four quality grades: A, B, D and E. The high strength structural steel of China Classification Society Code is divided into three strength grades and four quality grades.
